" The Big Smile show, November 6th at Space 2710, was complete with a variety of musical styles and artwork. 2710 proved once again to be an intimate venue where performers were able to be up close and personal with their audience; standing room was limited as the crowd tightened up around each band."

If you don't follow us on Twitter, Facebook or the old fashion way through our website Big Smile Magazine, then this blog post will catch you up to speed.
 
  The last blog we posted we mentioned that we would be releasing a 2010 summer compilation and we were looking for bands, well we recently filled the spots with some awesome bands that were proud to have them on the comp. The CD artwork is currently being designed and CD's are almost ready to be pressed. Everything should be done and CD in hand over the next week to two. Here is a list of some of the bands that will be on Big Smile's first comp:

      In other news, here are some updates with our website that might strike to your likings. You can now leave comments on any review or any writer on Big Smile without creating an account. We still encourage you to create an account but we encourage even more to leave a comment on a review saying that you like or dislike or just saying hello. Another new feature is a iTunes button above most of our reviews so you can sample the bands music and see for your self what were talking about. Their is a lot of new things on the website that I'll save for the next blog but I have to mention one more thing that you'll love. Our concert calendar is now better than ever! It's seen on every page and you can leave comments on show dates giving your show date exposure to the max. If your in a band I hope you use these 3 things we just told you about to your advantage. (:

Since the last post "The Launch of the new BSM", a lot has changed with the website, and a lot of new reviews are available to read. Here are some things we have added or changed to the website that you will love: You can now leave comment's on all our reviews without having to log in.  Bands: you can post all your show dates to our concert calendar which is located on our front page and seen by hundreds. Also, now when you are signed up as a reader and logged in, you can upload multiple photos and update your news feed. I'd like to introduce you to my personal favorite new feature: the option to leave comments on writer profiles allowing writer/reader interaction. This may not mean much to you, but being a writer, getting comments, and not being able to respond was a real bummer! So go and leave some comments on your favorite reviews, post some show dates of your favorite bands or just check out the site for some new reviews.
